One suspect, Dejuan Ravenel, 21, was arrested after police executed a search warrant at his apartment. Officers found a stolen Taser and loaded gun magazines that had been taken off an officer during the attack. That arrest came days after the initial incident, showing the investigation was still moving forward.

The event was a permitted block party that had run peacefully for 10 years. Chief Camacho said officers had met with organizers ahead of time to go over traffic and safety plans. Body camera footage from officers involved is being reviewed, but Camacho said it will not be released to the public. That limits what the public can independently verify.
